The Reime Group

Reime functions like a well-oiled machine because of the tripartite nature of the organizational structure of the Group.

Structure of the Reime Group Companies
The Reime Group of Companies is wholly owned by the ACME Group, a leading supplier of passive infrastructure to telecom operators. The Group Headquarters of Reime is in Nairobi. Its 12 operating companies are registered as limited liabilities companies and are located in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi and Madagascar in East Africa and Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Congo B and the Democratic Republic of Congo in West Africa, and in Dubai, UAE.

The Reime Group Headquarters focuses on

  • Corporate Governance
  • Overall business strategy and AoPs for whole Group as a whole and also it’s subsidiary units
  • Periodical reviews, monitoring and control of functioning of the subsidiary units
  • Product development
  • QC functions
  • Issuing policy directives and guidelines for day to day governance
  • The sales and operational functions constitute the direct business performance of the Group Headquarters.
  • Projects that are of a limited size at locations where the management cannot justify incorporating a legal entity will be run directly under the Group Headquarters or a designated country.

The subsidiaries focus on two specific categories of tasks:

  • Corporate functions
  • Supportive functions

Corporate Functions:
The corporate functions are governed through the Board of Directors of each subsidiary. The CEO and the CFO of Reime are the permanent members of the Board of Directors of each subsidiary, securing decision-making on:

  • Strategies and business plans, as well as budgets and forecasts
  • Business guidelines covering legal, ethical as well as more practical aspects
  • Guidelines securing a certain harmonization of the global business
  • Organizational structures, top management
  • Management Operational reporting from each Country Head
  • Management Administrative reporting from each Country Head, and accounts

Support Functions:
The support functions are provided to each subsidiary through a matrix organizational structure of the Group. Each Reime manager is responsible for the professional performance within his subsidiary. In this way, each manager of Reime takes on the role of quality control.
