Background

The Norwegian subsidiary Reime Jarlsø AS represents the continuation of our steel structure design- and manufacturing traditions, as well as our heavy involvement in the Nordic power transmission market. During the period from the early 1950s throughout the early 1990s, Reime Jarlsø produced and delivered some 70% of the volume of high voltage transmission towers in Norway. Throughout its history from 1912 onwards, Reime Jarlsø has emerged as a manufacturing plant, with some 20,000 m2 roofed production facilities including the region’s biggest hot dip galvanizing unit. Today, only the galvanizing unit remains in operation – while the steel structure manufacturing plant has been phased out.

Reime Jarlsø stands today as an ISO 9001 certified supplier of steel structures for the power distribution and the telecommunication markets, covering Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Baltic countries. Physical production is fully outsourced, while structural engineering is continuously being developed and adapted to the present infrastructure of the company. Significant focus is directed towards quality control of external production, and today we are confident that we have a source of qualified partners in place. Continuous optimization of our production network is considered a key success factor as both price and lead time are of critical importance.

Reime Jarlsø is focused on broadening its scope of work to include the full product range of the Reime NIS group of companies. This will first and foremost improve the company’s service range towards turn-key solutions, for the power distribution as well as the telecommunication market.
Reime Jarlsø will take advantage of it’s close relationship with Statnett in addressing significant upcoming domestic power distribution projects. The new revitalized organizational infrastructure will allow the company to re-establish itself as a main supplier of products and services to the power distribution sector. Reime Jarlsø will once again regain its position as a regional leader.
